Kansas Child Custody
Kansas child custody will be awarded based upon the best interests of
the child and consideration of the following factors:

the length of time and circumstances under which
the child may have been under the care of someone other than a
parent;
-
preference of the child;
-
the wishes of the parents;
-
the child's adjustment to his or her home, school,
and community;
-
the relationship of the child with parents,
siblings, and other significant family members;
-
the willingness of each parent to respect and
appreciate the bond between the child and the other parent;
and
-
any evidence of spousal abuse.
