Marshall Waller earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, of Los Angeles, California. After graduating from Loyola Law School, Mr. Waller continued his education in the field of Taxation at the University of San Diego.  

In 1981, Mr. Waller was admitted to practice before all the courts in the State of California, the United States Federal Court, and the Court of Appeals, and, in 1982, the United States Tax Court and Court of Claims. Mr. Waller has been in private practice since 1981.

Mr. Waller has been a professor of law for over fifteen years and has written a University-level textbook in the area of California Family Law. Published by Aspen Publishing, it is currently in its third edition. He has also written, Divorce Secrets Revealed for the general public.

Mr. Waller serves as a volunteer mediator for the Los Angeles County Superior Court's Family Law division and as a volunteer Judge Pro Tempore. In addition to his busy law practice and teaching schedule, Mr. Waller is actively involved in his community. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Lodge Youth Services/Boy's Home, and participates in numerous other volunteer organizations.
