Mr. Russell was born in Missouri and is admitted to practice in Louisiana, Missouri, and Kansas.  Mr. Russell received a B.A. in  1990 in Political Science form the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate in  1993 from Louisiana State university and A. and M. College School of Law. 

Mr. Russell has written and lectured extensively on Family Law Issues and his is a member of the Family Law Committee of the Johnson County Bar Association, The Family Law Committee of the Missouri State Bar Association, and the Louisiana State Bar Association
